Our Poivre Noir Performance  installers share with us the exact configuration of your motorcycle and send us all the necessary ECU technical databases and the list of installed accessories.

A road test is carried out by the dealer’s professional, who checks and validates the expected results before returning to you, your peppered motorcycle.

All peppered motorcycles are connected to our network  by brand of motorcycle and by your local dealer.

All Poivre Noir Performance installers and motorcycle manufacturers are able to reset your motorbike to its original ECU configuration.

Travel safely, the peppered setting of your engine will follow you where ever  you ride in the 6 countries where we are actually represented (more to come soon). Upon request to our technical assistance department (during opening hours), we can provide the nearest installer with the setting of your motorcycle free of charge.

Our optimization methods on the ECU avoids any additional box or a USB key that are mostly lost. We only leave on the motorbike a miniature converter box when converting to E85.

A complete look at the information available on the manufacturer’s ECU of your engine allows us to ensure a particularly careful and precise work.

We detect the slightest anomaly and any mismatch of the factory values up to the checksum.

Our experience allows us to automatically detect motorcycles that are already modified by a third party.

Our installers send us the information about your motorcycle via an internet secured server and we provide them with the new ECU version optimized by our qualified engineers using the same server.

Since 1995 and on different continents the manufacturer is offering a racing version that allows to increase the initial values of the engine. This process is totally adapted to the mechanic’s job.

The Indian Motorcycle brand is the brand that uses cutting-edge technology in engine management.

The 2020 Challenger model uses state-of-the-art technology with the MG1 which allows us to go for extremely efficient settings, with regards to the competition which does not use the Indian high-tech to adjust its ECU.

Doing a performance stage 1 on an Indian motorcycle, will bring an exceptional linearity from the idle zone to the break point and will allow you to run at a very low speed or in a muscular way at high-speed performance.

ORIGINAL MOTORCYCLES

When travelling in the ride mode and when overtaking is required, the biker must concentrate on his engine in order to push it or downgrade it to ensure its correct trajectory.

Depending on the settings of the manufacturers and the algorithms of the factory settings, a low speed has consequences with strokes or variability according to the engine speed.

The throttle handle also does not always open at 100% even when it is fully opened, the ignition and engine feed are under algorithm constraint to be able to burn SP95/SP98/SP100 fuels on the European area.

On the road, at 70 km/hour speed with a 5-speed gearbox or a 6-speed gearbox when the throttle is fully opened, the acceleration is done by choking the engine, the engine does not find its cruising speed at the first blow, its torque curve drops to replace it with some power in order to take up engine rpm as it can and this requires most of the time to reduce speed  and downshift one or two gear ratios engaged.

Bikers who want to increase the torque and horsepower of their engine can choose an open filter type K&N with extreme flow, to appreciate the sound of the intake and its filtration quality in order to fill the engine with a maximum of air.

According to the manufacturers’ brands, it is advisable to put Iridium spark plug (High Performance Spark Plugs) sold by the motorcycle dealers.

For the Bikers who want to increase the sound of their bike by staying approved through the installation of a variable exhaust system, we have the software solution to benefit from better engine’s settings. We advise against rolling with variable mufflers in closed mode unless the manufacturer determines the resolution of the function.

Bikers who want to increase both the power and sound of their bike must go to an extreme paradoxical objective seeking to do everything and anything to put a huge air filter and a very short and empty exhaust pipe. The admission resonance in intake will disturb the engine management, and the motorbike will get engine linear imperfections.

We refuse to improve motorcycles which have engine’s settings non-compliant with the manufacturer safety guidelines, most of the time these settings are the result of a quick installation from an automation box of a third-party downloaded and the downloaded security tables are offset from the corresponding table location making them sometimes inactive.

MOTOR HORSE POWER AND TORQUE TESTING AT THE ROTRONIC BENCH

A power bench measures the power to the "wheel" (wheel horse power) via a force sensor on a roller.

Once the shot is complete the operator puts the gearbox in neutral position and the power bench measures the horse speed at which the wheel and roller slow down, in order to determine the “engine power" (horse power).

In a world "perfect and without friction" the wheel once launched will not change its speed, and the "wheel power" will be equal to the "engine horsepower", but the gears of the motorbike, the tires, the motorcycle chain or the belt, but also the moving parts of the bench generate friction and the wheel slows inexorably with the playback time, this is called the transmission loss.

On a motorcycle, the transmission loss is usually estimated between 10 and 15%, that is to state that 100 horsepower per wheel gives in reality between 110 and 115 hp to the engine.

The announced engine horsepower is always given "to the engine" and not to the wheel because during the development, the engine power is measured on a specific dynamometer live without any gearbox or any transmission.
